A Gentleman’s guide to Amsterdam

Amsterdam – a city famous for a few things, and infamous for a few more. Back in January  I went to Amsterdam for a weekend break with my girlfriend to see what the hype was about. We tried as much of the city as we could cram into our couple of days. To be honest, you could easily do the trip about 5 times and you still wouldn’t get everything done.

Below are the top activities I think you should pack into your weekend and spend your hard earned time and money on.

Anne Frank’s House

So there’s your itinerary for your weekend in Amsterdam. If you get round all these places you will have hopefully experienced most of what the city has to offer. Of course, this is mostly a cultural experience of what you can do to absorb most of the daytime feel of the city. If you want to go that extra mile you can go to one of Amsterdam’s many bars and clubs. Providing you have any energy left after exploring all day this can be a good way to let loose and meet new and different people you otherwise mightn’t have met around the usual tourist attractions.

Flights and accommodation in Amsterdam are ridiculously cheap so I would urge you to definitely give it a go and see what you think of this holiday hotspot.
