Spectre at the Feast by Black Rebel Motorcycle club
Another pick that’s based quite heavily on the memories it evokes. This doesn’t devalue how good the album is regardless but having an album that marks a stage in your life is always a nice cherry on top. I first started listening to this album in my first year at university so it’ll always be more than just a collection of bangers.
The album was well received by critics pretty much universally and features some of the band’s best songs in my opinion. I can’t really describe the feel of the album other than dark and riffy. If you like blues-y rock you can’t go wrong here.
Best song on the album
Has to be fire walker. It’s the first song on the album and takes a while to get going, but once it does it’ll blow your kite clean off. Sets the tone for the rest of the album perfectly.
Overall I’d give this album an 8.5/10. Definitely my favourite BRMC album and one you should listen to over and over again.
