12 weeks of Symprove. The drink that changed the game
How I discovered Symprove
Before Symprove, my girlfriend decided she was going to try out some Yakult to see if it would make her feel a bit healthier day to day.
Me being the ever sceptical cynic, decided to do a bit of digging to try and find out whether it was actually beneficial or a load of bollocks.
What I found was a lot of conflicting research and arguments for and against Yakult, Actimel and all the other supposedly ‘gut-friendly’ bacteria drinks.
I scrolled through some studies and the main issue seemed to be that although the patented bacteria of Yakult was good for gut health in theory, it was almost always killed before getting anywhere near the gut.
After scouring some forums, one name kept cropping up – Symprove. I saw a lot of people talking about how it’s the only one of the gut-friendly rat pack that actually does what it’s meant to do and the reviews were glowing – I was sold.
Straight after my little research session, I got in touch with the guys over at Symprove and they were good enough to send me 12 weeks worth of the good stuff.
I’ve been trying to find something that improves gut health for some time now as I know how potent the links between the gut, the thyroid, the brain and testosterone production are. The only problem is that most probiotics are nonsense and fermented foods taste like a dog’s arse (I assume).
Symprove offers a unique formula in that it delivers its full nutrient content and doesn’t taste horrible – a formidable formula indeed.
With this in mind, I set out on my 12-week journey.
Farts. And a lot of ’em. That was the first week. I didn’t mind the taste – it was a bit like watered down cordial which isn’t bad considering you’re drinking bacteria.
Didn’t really feel the benefits gut wise although I did have a lot more energy, this could be attributed to the fact I started getting up at 5am and having a little siesta at midday though. Who knows.
This is where the benefits really started to show themselves. I had so much more energy, my productivity was absolutely flying with the blog and my workouts even felt better.
I can’t go and attribute all of this to Symprove because at the time, I was making some healthy lifestyle changes with regards to diet, stress, etc but it’d be stupid to ignore the correlation between Symprove and the upturn in fortunes.
The final 4 weeks were a blast. My diet was on point, I was popping some multivitamins to fill in nutritional gaps, I was getting up at 5am every day and productivity bits were being done regularly.
I’m not gonna sit here and say that Symprove made me grow taller, made me millions and cured world hunger but the stuff really does work.
I’ve researched gut health at length during university and even in my spare time as it is something that interests me massively. There have been so many documented studies linking the gut to everything from brain function to testosterone and even mental health.
It should come as no surprise then that all of these areas were markedly improved during my 12-week plan. I’ll definitely be going back for some more of this fine-ass bacteria cordial soon.
So there you have it, Symprove is the bloody bees knees. A probiotic that actually works. I must say, it took me by surprise but who can argue with results like this?
